中文摘要 本论文以国家教委艺术教育处关于《全国学校艺术教育总体规划》、《在普通高等学校中普及艺术教育的意见》等文件为指导，选择了山西省五所具有典型性和代表性的普通高校，就高校音乐教育过程当中的认识与管理现状；师资现状；学生对音乐教育的认识与需求现状等方面设计调查问卷，并进行分析研究。进一步提出从加强对普通高校目的的认识；注重课堂教学和校园文化并进发展；结合各自学校发展的特点，形成特色教育；加强教师队伍之间的交流学习等方面设想与建议，努力在突出学生主体地位的同时，强调学校自身的特色发展，更好的体现普通高校音乐教育对培养大学生综合素质方面的独特价值。以期望为山西省普通高校音乐教育的发展，提供较客观的材料和可行性建议。  

英文摘要 Based on documents such as 《A general programming on art school education throughout the nation 》 、 《Views on popularizing art education in ordinary colleges and universities》 etc. promulgated by the art education department in committee of education, this paper focused on the research of five typical ordinary universities in Shanxi province. A questionnaire was made about views and administrative situation in the course of college music education; teacher's present conditions; student's attitude and demand about music education. understanding on the purpose of music education was strengthened; both the development of the classroom teaching and the campus culture were emphasized; a distinctive educational pattern is formed on the basis of universities' personal features; hypothesis and suggestion were about the interlearning among teachers、 giving prominence to student' status、 developing distinctively and better representing its unique value in cultivating students' comprehensive quality. Thus, objective materials and available suggestions were looking forward to a development of music education in universities of Shanxi province.
