中文摘要 刘天华(1895.2.4.——1932.6.8.),江苏江阴人,作曲家、二胡琵琶演奏家、音乐教育家,中国二胡学派的开创者和奠基人。本文以刘天华的二胡教学活动为集中研究对象,旨在更清晰地展现刘天华二胡教学活动的指导思想及实践,明确刘天华在二胡艺术及其教学发展史中所取得的举世公认历史地位的渊源及成因。本课题的研究对二胡学科的建设和二胡艺术的发展提供有意义的启示与借鉴。全文共分为四章10节,采用了调查法、文献法、比较法、分析法等研究方法,立足于前人的研究基础,并参考了前人研究的相关史料和理论总结,从四个角度对刘天华的二胡教学活动进行梳理和初步研究。第一章“刘天华二胡教学活动的指导思想”,分析刘天华开展二胡教学活动的出发点和着手点,并结合史料的整理解析思想的形成过程以及对此产生影响的几位重要人物;第二章“刘天华二胡教学指导思想的实践”,综述刘天华所开展的二胡教学活动,并以刘天华在二胡教材建设和二胡教学方法改进两方面为主要切入点,研究其教学指导思想在教学活动的实际运用;第三章“刘天华二胡教学实践的成果”,综述刘天华在实践其教学指导思想中所取得的主要成果,并从二胡学科的创建、刘天华二胡学派的形成和对二胡艺术的推广三个方面了解刘天华教学实践在二胡艺术发展史上的重要贡献;第四章“刘天华二胡教学思想及其实践的意义”,阐述刘天华的二胡教学活动不但改变了传统民间器乐的教学模式、开创了二胡教学的新篇章,而且对当代我国民族器乐教学的发展也起到了积极有力的推动作用。近百年来,我国民族器乐艺术的发展,走的正是由刘天华所开创的继承传统、借鉴西洋的改进、发展道路。最后,在文章的附录部分列出了笔者整理的“刘天华研究资料索引”。  

英文摘要 This thesis is mainly about Tianhua Liu (1895-1932), born in Jiangyin Jiangsu Province and was not only known for being a great composer, erhu and lute performer as well as music educator, but an inaugurator and founder of Chinese erhu school. This paper is intended to restore the erhu teaching activities of Tianhua Liu so as to determine his historical status and significance in both histories of erhu art and the development of his teaching methodology. The study on this issue thus attaches important significance to the establishment of erhu branch and further development of erhu art. The paper as a whole falls into four chapters (sections). It is designed to carry out a pilot study which implores erhu teaching ideas of Liu from four angles on the basis of preceding research achievements with references to relevant historical materials and theoretical sum-ups by adopting a variety of methods including survey, literature, comparison and analysis as well. The first chapter with the title "The guiding ideas of Liu's teaching activities" discusses the contributing factors and the development of the very directing thoughts. Chapter two "The practices of Liu's guiding ideas" argues how his ideas are put into real teaching practices, started with his efforts to make improvements in the erhu textbooks and teaching methods. The following chapter "Liu's achievements in teaching practices" talks over the major accomplishments Liu attained through three channels involves the establishment of erhu branch, the formation of Liu's art school as well as promotion of erbu art The final one "The significance of Liu's ideas and practices" illustrates how Liu not only turned over a new leaf on the teaching patterns of the traditional folk instrumental music, but serve as positive incentive to current teaching patterns of erhu in China. As a result folk instrumental music in China has embarked on the route carved out by Tianhua Liu over a century ago, characterized by his contri bution in uniting both the traditional inheritance and learning from the foreign countries.
